Frequently Asked Questions

What is home visiting? How does it “work?”

Home Visiting is a program that brings trained and caring professionals to a family’s home or other location during pregnancy to help a family prepare for and raise a baby.

To get started, contact a Connect coordinator in your area by requesting a Home Visitor on our site through a call or email. The coordinator will help you through the intake process and help you know which Home Visitor is the best match for what you need or want for your family. The Home Visitor will meet with you for an initial meeting and schedule regular visits based on your goals.

Every Florida family deserves a healthy start, and a Home Visitor’s partnership means better outcomes for parents and babies.

Every expecting family is eligible, but some programs offer very specific services that only apply to families with certain needs. The Connect coordinator in your community will help you find the best home visiting partner based on your family’s needs and goals.
